An "artistic" rendition of sound through a hearing aid

"A hearing aid amplifies all the sounds that come into it, so the user has to learn what to
listen to and what to ignore. When you are hard of hearing you tend to listen very closely to everything for fear of missing something important. With practice, you learn again what needs to be attended to and what can be ignored." (Denise M. Jansen, "Day to Day With My Cochlear Implant" Audiology Online, October 21, 2002)
